Electronics and Metals Recycling Day!

Get rid of old metal of any kind. Appliances, too!
Free to all Nassau County residents and businesses!

 

Where and When:

1) Fernandina Beach:

  • Saturday April 26th, 2008 From 9 A.M. to 2 P.M
  • Home Depot Parking Lot A1A & Chester Road, Yulee

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Keep Nassau Beautiful are sponsoring a project to collect, recycle, treat and properly dispose of these
Household Hazardous Wastes & Electronics:

Used Oil Oil Filters Gasoline Anti Freeze
Batteries Fertilizers Pesticides Insecticides
Poisons Computers Televisions Aerosol Cans
Household Cleaners Fluorescent Bulbs Pool Chemicals Paint Thinners
Paint & Pain Products Photographic Solutions    

Old metal equipment will also be accepted, including auto batteries: most anything old or that no longer works. Call North Nassau Recycling at 904-261-4498 with questions.

Why Recycle Electronics?

Electronics contain hazardous materials such as lead can cadmium. State law allows for computers and similar equipment to be put in landfills. bus reusing hazardous metals by recyling is better. At state-approved recycler will take apart everything collected, and recylcle it all, whether its plastic, glass or metal.

This service is being provided to all county residents and businesses by North Nassau Recycling and the Nassau County Solid Waste Task Force.
